Jordan Richard of Tipton, Michigan, won her second Professional Women's Bowling Association (PWBA) title of the season on Tuesday night, defeating England's Verity Crawley 241-171 in the final of the 2023 PWBA Great Lakes Classic. Richard, who is 28 years old, has been bowling professionally since 2018. She won her first PWBA title in 2020 at the PWBA Tournament of Champions. The Great Lakes Classic was held at Spectrum Lanes in Wyoming, Michigan. Richard is a native of Wyoming and used to bowl at Spectrum Lanes as a youth bowler. Richard's victory earned her $12,000. Crawley took home $6,000 for finishing second. Richard is the first two-time champion on the PWBA Tour this season. She is also the first bowler to win a PWBA title at Spectrum Lanes since 2019. Richard's victory is a major boost for her quest to win the 2023 PWBA Player of the Year award. She is currently in second place in the Player of the Year standings, behind Stephanie Zavala. Richard is scheduled to compete in the next PWBA event, the PWBA BowlTV Classic, which will be held from June 15-18 in Las Vegas.
