The 2023 State Champs Network Team Bowling Finals were held on Saturday, June 3, at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan. The event featured the top 16 teams from across the state, and the competition was fierce. In the end, it was the Saline High School girls bowling team who emerged victorious. Saline won the team title with a score of 3,474, edging out runner-up Milford by just 25 pins. Saline's victory was their second consecutive state title. Saline was led by senior bowler Megan Garvin, who rolled a 645 series. Garvin was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Saline's other top bowlers were junior Sarah Smith (622 series) and sophomore Ella Lauer (619 series). Milford finished second with a score of 3,449. Milford was led by senior bowler Emily Krzemien, who rolled a 627 series. Krzemien was named to the All-Tournament Team. Milford's other top bowlers were junior Kylie Mraz (621 series) and sophomore Maddie Smigielski (618 series). The third-place team was Plymouth Salem, who rolled a score of 3,423. Plymouth Salem was led by senior bowler Rachel Thomas, who rolled a 625 series. Thomas was named to the All-Tournament Team. Plymouth Salem's other top bowlers were junior Hannah Swick (614 series) and sophomore Olivia DeGrandpre (613 series). The All-Tournament Team also included junior bowler Sarah Hebert from West Bloomfield, sophomore bowler Sydney Kwiatkowski from Northville, and sophomore bowler Madison Kwiatkowski from Canton. The 2023 State Champs Network Team Bowling Finals was a great day of competition, and it was a fitting way to end the high school bowling season.
