Davenport, Iowa - The Ottawa men's bowling team continued their season with a strong showing at the Leatherneck Classic in Davenport, Iowa. The Braves narrowly missed out on qualifying for the bracket, finishing 17th overall with a total of 7,552 pins. Jerry Jennings led the way for Ottawa, tallying 962 pins over five games to finish in 73rd place. Joseph Enderle was close behind, finishing in 79th place with 943 pins over five games. "Overall, the result wasn't exactly what we were hoping for," said Coach Poston. "But it was a good learning experience. We learned a lot about the fight and grit that this entire group has working through the challenges of the weekend. I'm proud of how well the guys worked together and fought hard for every pin." The Braves will return to action on December 18-19 when they compete at the Glenn Carlson Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Glenn Carlson Invitational is one of two Tier 1 tournaments on the schedule this season. The following tournament, the Collegiate Shootout, will also be held in Las Vegas from December 20-21.
